Camping with the cousins...

At the end of June we went camping with Lyndsey's family. We had been planning to take a trip up to Yellowstone, but with work being crazy Adam could only get Friday off. Yellowstone is like a 6 hr drive, so we didn't think it would be worth it to drive Thurs night and come home Sunday with it being that far away, so we decided to go somewhere closer, somewhere we'd never been...Goblin Valley! What were we thinking, it was SOOOOOOOOOOOO HOT! But we endured and the kids had a blast. Lyndsey's family brought a trailer and we borrowed my parent's tent trailer. We actually only stayed in Goblin Valley Thurs night because we were dying of heat. Friday afternoon we headed up to Starvation, and decided to camp where there was some water to play in, to beat the summer sun. Much Better.

It was actually pretty incredible. We had such a good time climbing on and playing hide and seek in the rocks.

The kids were nonstop running and exploring. A great place to take kids. They could have explored there ALL day.

They made it to the top! What a bunch of awesome little rock climbers.

On Friday morning we hiked part of Little Wild Horse Canyon. It is actually an 8 mile loop, we obviously didn't go that far, maybe a mile round trip, but it's an awesome hike because you can get into a great slot canyon without having to go very far! Davis insisted on walking most of the way, and Grant did great job too.

So Friday after our hike we drove to Starvation Reservoir and spent Fri night and Sat night there. We got the best of both worlds, hot dry dessert and beach with water. Perfect trip.

Lucy and Grant decided to build a "play ground." Here they are working on their teeter totter. I love seeing what these kids come up with. It's always fun to take them places and see what they find while exploring the surroundings.

Cereal for breakfast while we packed up to head for home. Such a wonderful trip. Besides the pizza place we ate at! Lyndsey, I will NEVER forget that place, ahhhh! We love our cousins and are so happy we get to see them as often as we do.
