Sisters Trip

My sister's, mom and I decided that we need to do a sister's get-a-way every year. This year we couldn't go far, due to schedules, etc, so we went to St. George for the weekend. It was perfect though, and so nice to escape the freezing cold! I took Grant since he's still nursing, but everyone else left their kids at home. Hooray. We wanted to relax and catch up on sleep, but the late night card playing and laughing didn't lend to much sleep.

We went on this great little hike up to a small waterfall.

Doesn't Grant look so big?

We swam and sat in the hot tub. Grant seriously LOVED the water. He has this thing with splashing, he thinks it's the funnest thing in the world.

We also went on a couple of hikes in Snow Canyon.

I can't imagine my life without my sisters. They are my best friends, and I feel so blessed to have them close. Our new house is only 2.6 miles from Keri! Fun. Thanks guys for such a great weekend. Can't wait till next year.

The Zoo for Olive's B-Day

Olive turned ONE! She is Grant's best friend and is always ready to play. We love having Olive around because she's so chill and she makes Grant happy. She is still a little peanut, weighing in at 17 lbs, but she's walking all over the place and teaches Grant all her moves. For her Birthday we went to the zoo, and Lyndsey made her this amazing cake!! Are you kidding me?? It's so cute.

She LOVED the sugar overload.

The zoo was pretty freezing but it was still fun. (even though grant doesn't look like he was having very much fun in the pic below)

Grant couldn't get enough of the birds. Especially the big pink ones in the pic below. Those are the ones he's starring at in this picture.

So fun. Thanks for having a Birthday Olive. WE LOVE YOU!

Family Update

Can't believe it's the middle of MARCH!!! Since Christmas (my last post) a lot has happened.
1. We bought a house - (pictures to come)
2. Bluehouse has had a good season, we even got up on the mountain a couple of times
3. Grant got 3 teeth (and his top two are on their way in NOW)
4. Grant's crawling all over the place and is now pulling himself up on EVERYTHING
5. Grant finally learned how to say mamma, since he's been saying dadda forever
6. The class I'm teaching this semester is only two days a week, so my work schedule is a dream
7. Adam won an all paid trip from his work!!!! I shouldn't say won, because he actually earned it. Hooray for work trips and Hooray for Adam working SO HARD to get it. Well done babe. There are a couple of places we can choose from to go, but I think we might be headed to the Dominican Republic! Can't wait.
8. Grant loves doing pat-a-cake all by himself. He actually just likes to "mark it with a G", he'll be hanging out and all of the sudden he'll put his little pointer finger on his palm, he does this all day.
9. Grant got a big boy front facing car seat
10. We're doing good and Can't Wait for Spring!!!!

Grant can't get enough of his cousins. He seriously doesn't like hanging out with me all day. If he doesn't see at least one of his cousins once a day he gets cranky. I thought I was pretty fun, guess not. Below is he and Olive.

Our big boy in his front facing car seat. Again with cousins, Lucy, on our way to IKEA.

The Lansings invited us to ski with them at Deer Valley when they were in town. They have a beautiful cabin right on the ski run, so we got to ski most of the day because I could just ski back to the house to nurse and put Grant down for a nap. Perfect. Joy's little girl Amelia and Grant are only two weeks apart, and future bffs.

Can you see his little teeth? HE LOVES TO EAT!!!! and loves to feed himself. He practically won't even let me feed him anymore.

Our crawling little guy.

This was actually the FIRST day he crawled (this was like 2 months ago). He was on the verge for weeks, but once we started making food the goal he picked it up pretty quick.

Grant's favorite thing - the bath. He loves to splash.
