Christmas in the City
Seriously the best Christmas present EVER. We took a little trip to NY and DC (post about DC is to follow). First time flying with the babe. He did great...on the way there at least (it was the red eye, so he slept, and i didn't). It was so fun to see friends, eat good food, and play in the Christmas filled city. hooray. THANKS Amber and Juice (and Di) for letting us sleep in your bed. We love you.
We went to the Christmas Market in Union Square...lots of fun things to see.

We ate pizza and pinkberry.

Stephen being the wonderful friend he is hosted a get together and made chicken surprise which was DELICIOUS! We finally got to meet SYDNEY, who is now a year old!!! Kaedi and Mark, will you move out here already, come on I know you're dying to get out.

We ate rice pudding, the best in the world.
And got to party with the newlyweds. Emily, so nice to meet you.
I think Grant was a little more excited to meet his future bride than she was. But oh how cute she was. Sydney come play with us soon .

We saw Santa at the ABC carpet and home store. I've never been there and it's AMAZING. You should go. I thought santa looked great, so real. Grant didn't really know what to make of it.

Rockefeller Center

Grant LOVED the windows at Bergdorf , even though it was freezing. Look at that happy kid.
Oh and the aunts...Grant couldn't get enough of them. Auntie Amber and Di are his new favorite people.

The Mickelsons were way too nice and came to NY to spend the day and drive us back to DC with them. We ate burgers at the Burger Joint, and Grant was REALLY excited to see Aunt Sarah again.

Thanks to Amber, Juice and Di we had the best place to stay in the city. The shower in the kitchen was my favorite. Oh and bread and cheese and guava paste...that was my favorite too.
On Sunday we finally got to see the Smylies and pretty Adelaide. After a gourmet dinner made by Rebecca, (seriously, who REALLY knows how to make brussels sprouts taste good?- she does), we went to the Cantori NY Christmas concert where Levi was the star of the show. It made the trip. AND we got to see LISA! It felt like we all never left 211 - well in the good ways. So nice to see you all, and THANK YOU for everything. Let's do it again soon.
